This year’s Thanksgiving dinner was probably the smallest we’ve had. A few people were in other states or countries, so I’m sure we’ll all be getting together around Christmas. Couple people showed up a little sick, so it was very laid-back.
We attended a Thanksgiving buffet at a banquet hall. Nice place, but it’s such a strange way to put together a meal. I thought I was going to go up and get the usual turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing; but I get anxious trying to find food in a crowd, so I came back with strange combinations.
I couldn’t eat that much as the reservation was for noon and we started eating around 12:30. I don’t even eat lunch that early and I had just awoken a couple hours earlier. And the other downside to going to a buffet: no leftovers.
